I’m Lauren Weiner. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas & Chicago, Illinois. This winter I will be graduating from DePaul University with a BA in Writing, Rhetoric & Discourse.

I freelance in various pop culture niches— most commonly movie reviews, entertainment/culture write-ups, and scripts.

Colgan Teams blog is a client of mine whom I write weekly articles about Northern Virginia for. My articles boost traction to their site with each piece getting an average of one hundred views. I also write entertainment-based pieces for the Gen Z inspired magazine, Trill Mag, where I focus on making current cultural topics and events digestible for younger audiences.

Recently, I have been given the opportunity to work with Graceland Cemetery in Chicago, crafting audio tour scripts about historical figures of Graceland to strengthen their presence in the community. I am also a contributing script writer to an up-and-coming crime drama ran by TK Productions.

On the side I write movie reviews for City On Fire, That Shelf and The Geekly Grind.
